The NHL trade speculation is heating up in a big way, with less than two weeks until the 2025 deadline, and after already seeing blockbuster deals involving Mikko Rantanen and J.T. Miller, there's plenty to come in the next few weeks.
Speculation continues to swirl around the likes of Elias Pettersson, Dylan Cozens and the entire New York Rangers team, and now, a brand new rumour has emerged courtesy of top NHL Insider Elliotte Friedman.
According to Friedman, there are teams out there (currently unnamed) that are looking to pair up Brayden and Luke Schenn in separate deals with the hope that this could spark success ahead of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Currently, Brayden is captaining the St. Louis Blues while Schenn plays a bottom-four role in Nashville, and based on the wording of Friedman's report, it appears that it's neither of them trying to reunite the brothers, with teams looking to make two separate deals to get them together.
This season alone we've seen Pierre-Eduard Joseph and Mathieu Joseph paired up in Columbus while brothers Jack and Luke Hughes play together in New Jersey, so there are clearly teams that believe with this chemistry and experience of the brothers Schenn, it would be a huge addition to their team.
It's unclear exactly which teams at this point are looking to make this happen, but whichever one gets it done will need to have deep pockets given Brayden's long-term contract, but for now, it's safe to say that it would be a very interesting deal to see pulled off.
