The Arizona Coyotes have not been a viable National Hockey League franchise for some time now and with relocation and expansion rumours circling, the Coyotes have potentially revived some very bad news as a leading relocation candidate has made major upgrade to their arena to ensure its NHL ready if and when the time comes.

Houston is getting set for a major 30 million dollar renovation to the Toyota Center and part of that according to Chris Johnston is the instillation of ice making equipment; take a look.

Of note: The renovation underway at Houston's Toyota Center will include the installation of ice-making equipment that will ensure the building can ultimately be NHL-ready.

The installation of the ice making equipment would make the arena NHL ready and a possible relocation spot should the NHL decide to relocate the Coyotes.

At any rate even if they don't relocate the Coyotes to Huston, if nothing else this will put pressure on Arizona to ice a more competitive team on and off the ice.

We'll see if this happens, but one thing is becoming more and more clear that at some point Huston will get an NHL team.
