The Arizona Coyotes and Jakob Chychrun have been at an impasse for some time, rumours have sailed for over a year now and it appears they have increased their asking price...again.
According to Craig Morgan writer for PHNX sports, the asking price for Chychrun is at least 2 first round picks and a second round pick or good' blue chip prospect. This is up from the previously reported asking price of 2 1st round picks.
Chychrun, 24, has played just 10 games for the Coyotes this season due to injury. He has 3 goals and 6 assists for 9 points in those games.
While Chychrun has shown that he can produce since coming back from injury and he is on a team friendly deal, I think the asking price is too high considering his history.
Although, the asking price makes sense considering what players similar in age fetched at last years deadline (Hagel to Tampa for two first round picks) I don't think any team in a playoff position pats the asking price as it currently stands.
