Beer league players melts down in the most childish way at referee
What is it with beer league/organized pick-up and players losing their minds? It seems in the age of social media and cell phone cameras people are able to witness individuals have a meltdown during a game that realistically should be classified as fun and that most players use to stay in shape and remain social.
Recently video footage surfaced of a player who's sitting on a bench stand up and throw a bucket of pucks onto the ice after being tossed from a beer league/organized pick-up game.
Whatever the individual went ballistic for, life's way too short to lose sleep over something that may have been as simple as a blown call and it's disgusting to throw things in the direction of someone when they're not expecting it, especially an official and while referees blow calls quite often, they're only human.
While I recognize that everyone that's played any level of hockey has had disagreements with an on-ice official, this level of disdain for a referee goes too far, and no matter what the player was arguing about
