Benches clear after overtime goal, leads to over 180 penalty minutes (Video)
Things got heated during a minor league hockey game between the Danbury Hat Tricks and the Carolina Thunderbirds. After scoring the game winning Kalib Ford is shoved by a member of the Danbury team. Things immediately kick off from there.
As the benches clear multiple players pair off and drop the gloves. Things continue to escalate before the officials finally get things under control.
8 fighting majors are given out on the play along with multiple game misconducts. During the play Zachery Pamaylaon is assessed a misconduct for physical abuse of officials. The General Manager and Head Coach of the Hat Tricks, Billy McCreary was also given a misconduct for abuse of officials. Both are expected to receive some form of supplemental discipline from the league.
