Top NHL analysts are starting to weigh in on this summer's Trade Market. According to Hockey Insider Frank Seravalli, Alex DeBrincat should be the top trading chip for the Chicago Blackhawks.
In his opinion, DeBrincat can fetch the Blackhawks good draft picks for future assets for the rebuild process that they are clearly on the verge of starting. DeBrincat is in the last year of his 6.4$ Million dollar contract and is set to be a RFA at the end of the 22-23 season. If they don't manage to trade him now, they may risk losing him to a hostile offer from another team.
DeBrincat's value hasn't been any better for a contending team for next season's playoff race.
