In the video, you can see Kings' forward Adrian Kempe challenge Marchand while he has the puck, and as he seats at the puck, their skates collide. Marchand falls, and after sliding along the ice for a while, he gets up in disbelief there was no penalty called. You can also hear Bruins' play by play announcer Jack Edwards clamouring for a penalty, to no one's surprise.
Marchand slams his stick all over the place on his way to the bench, and continues slamming it once he's off the ice. For the biggest rat in the NHL, it isn't out of the ordinary to see him throw a fit like this.
In Marchand's defence, it's plausible that a tripping call could be made there, but considering the accidental skate contact as well, it's a toss up. Throw in the Marchand sliding on the ice after falling, his reaction to the official, and the fact that he is Brad Marchand, and the lack of a penalty isn't surprising.
Either way, the Bruins' clearly didn't need the help of another power play to pull off yet another win. With a win over the Kings by a score of 5-2, Boston's record has grown to a whopping 30-4-4. Without a doubt, the Bruins are the best team in the NHL at the moment - and Brad Marchand is a big reason for that success.
