Breaking - Boston Bruins and the Colorado Avalanche make a trade

With just days to go until the National Hockey League Trade Deadline on March 3rd, things are starting to heat up around the the league with players beginning to move around.

Today, the Boston Bruins and the Colorado Avalanche made a trade with the Bruins sending a goaltender to the Avs in exchange for a a forward according to Daily Faceoff's Frank Seravalli, take a look:

#Avs acquire G Keith Kinkaid from #NHLBruins� for Shane Bowers.

Kinkaid, 33, has mostly been a minor league backup throughout his career, only playing in 70 career NHL games throughout his 10 year career. In his only game with Boston this season he posted a.968 save percentage and only allowed 1 goal in a Bruins win.

Bowers on the other hand is 23, was drafted in the first round (28th overall) back in 2017. Like Kinkaid, so far in his pro career he's played mostly in the AHL aside from 1 game this season with the avs where he registered no points. In 37 AHL contests with the Colorado Eagles this season, Bowers has 4 goals and 10 assists for 14 points
