Breaking News - Darcy Kuemper injured and forced to leave game

It's been a tough year for goalies during this year's playoffs. After seeing Pittsburgh Penguins goaltender Casey DeSmith leave game one in overtime due to injury, followed by Antti Raanta who was injured after being run into by Boston Bruins David Pastrnak, and now a third goaltender has suffered an injury.

The injury occured during Game 3 of the series between the Nashville Predators and Colorado Avalanche with the Avalanche leading 2-1. On the play Ryan Johanson inadvertently got his stick tangled in Darcy Kuemper's mask. The stick made it through the eye hole of the mask and Kuemper was cut on the play and was forced to leave the game.

Back up goaltender, Pavel Francouz would go on to finish the last minute of the first period. This could be the turning point of the series if the Avalanche lose Darcy Kuemper stay tuned for updates.
