Breaking News - Mitch Marner victim of a carjacking at gun point
It's been a tough week for Maple Leafs' star Mitch Marner and apparently it's gotten even tougher. According to the Toronto Sun, tonight Marner was the victim of a carjacking at gun point. A police source gave the following information:
It happened at the Cineplex theatre on The Queensway.
The police sent out the following tweet about the incident.
Marner was attending a movie with a friend when, "the guys approached wearing masks and said they wanted the vehicle. Mitch said, go ahead and take it."'
It is reported while weapons were involved neither Marner or his friend were threatened directly with the weapons.
The suspects did not know it was Marner. They were only interested in the Range Rover, which they can quickly sell out of country.
All reports indicate that Mitch Marner is doing alright at this time.
