Breaking News - Vegas Golden Knights announce major termination
The Vegas Golden Knights have made a major move. Today the Golden Knights have officially relieved Head Coach, Pete DeBoer of his coaching duties. The move comes after the Vegas Golden Knights missed the playoffs for the first time in franchise history.
DeBoer ends his time in Vegas with a 98-50-12 record through 3 seasons. DeBoer previously replaced Gerard Gallant as the 2nd coach in franchise history.
After the season ended DeBoer received a lot of criticism for his treatment and comments about Robin Lehner, who battled injury all season long.
After lengthy discussions over the last two weeks, we believe that a new coach will put us in the best position to succeed next season.
Barry Trotz immediately becomes the favourite for the Vegas coaching job.
