Brian Elliott challenges Elvis Merzlikins to a fight during 2nd period scrum
With the Tampa Bay Lightning fighting to lockdown 3rd place in the Atlantic Division, things got heated during tonight's game between Tampa Bay and Columbus. Corey Perry and Pat Maroon sparked off a scrum to end the period.
During the scrum everyone in the ice became involved. Feeling left out Tampa Bay Lightning backup goalie Brian Elliott made the trip down ice to challenge Elvis Merzļikins to a fight of his own.
Unfortunately Merzļikins turned down the fight. Pat Maroon was given 2-minutes for roughing and slashing, while Merzļikins receives 2-minutes of his own for slashing.
