Bruins sign veteran forward to PTO
The National Hockey League season is right around the corner and with that, teams are jockeying to get players under contract or in some cases give players without a contract for the 2023-2024 season an opportunity to earn one.
The Boston Bruins who have had quite a bit of turnover this offseason up front with their forward group announced that 32-year-old, Montreal, Quebec native Alex Chiasson will attend camp on a professional try out agreement.
Chiasson a veteran of 651 NHL games has produced 120 goals and 233 points to go alongside 359 penalty minutes and while this opportunity would provide some much-needed depth to the Bruins, Chiasson could be in a make or break moment at the tail end of his career.
Last season split between the Detroit Red Wings and their American Hockey League affiliate Grand Rapids Griffins, the right winger had fifteen goals and fourteen assists with twenty penalty minutes but finished the season with a -2.
