Sometimes in the world on sport, things happen that make the sports world stop and stand united on the same front. One of those things happened During Monday Night Football as the Buffalo Bills were taking on the Cincinnati Bengals, when after taking a big hit, Bills safety Damar Hamlin suffered from a cardiac event and had to be revived on the field.
Tonight, prior to puck drop against the Minnesota Wild, the Buffalo Sabres held a moment of celebration for the Hamlin family, take a look:
Hamlin is breathing on his own and has made a remarkable recovery, even posting to social media to thank fans and teams alike for their well wishes.
What a gesture by the Buffalo Sabres organization to organize a moment for the Hamlin family, when things like this happen, however rare, it's a great reminder of the unity across sports.
Sports are awesome and this is one of the many reasons. Get well soon Damar, we're all rooting for you.
