It was a big night for the Colorado Avalanche and for star defenceman, Cale Makar. The 23-year old Makar has become one of the best and brightest young stars in the game.
Tonight Makar added to his young legacy scoring his 23rd goal of the season on the power play beating Flyers goaltender Carter Hart to tie Sandis Ozolinsh for most goals scored by a Avalanche defenceman with 23 in a single season.
Makar would strike again 8:25 into the 3rd period putting one past Carter Hart again for his 24th goal, and taking over as the new franchise leader in goals for defenceman as the Avalanche defeated the Flyers 6-3 tonight.
