Rod Brind'Amour of the CArolina Hurricanes is definitely the kind of coach that wears his heart on his sleeve. If something isn't going well, Brind'Amour has no problem pointing it out. That was the case last night as his team fell to the Edmonton Oilers 6-1.
Even as his team was losing last night, Brind'Amour did an interview from the bench and didn't hold back.
"We're on our way to losing 50-nothing right now. I've never seen a team play this brutal. At this point, you know, I'm lost for words to be quite honest. We weren't ready to start, that was clear. And now we're just doing things, not the way we do it. And this is what you get.
Brind'Amour continued his call out of his team after the game had ended, specifically Carolina's top guys.
"It was just a bad game from start to finish, we didn't have anything going. I haven't seen a game like that out of us, so I'm a little bit of a loss for words. It's not acceptable, not for sure, and our top guys especially have to show up more."
Meanwhile, Edmonton is finally finding its stride after a slow start that led to the team's head coach being fired. The Oilers have now won five in a row.
