Chris Kreider rushes to the dressing room after taking a puck to the throat
Chris Kreider is as tough as players come. He's willing to do whatever it takes to win and you can't put a price on that. So when you see a play that leaves a player like Kreider in immediate pain or causes them to panic, you immediately get worried.
That's exactly what happened tonight in the 1st period. With Kreider standing in front of the Pittsburgh net, teammate Mika Zibanejad fired a shot from the point that ended up being deflected. Unfortunately that deflection rose up and caught Kreider directly in the neck and throat area.
Kreider immediately got his bearings and rushed to the Rangers' room for medical attention.
Luckily for the Rangers Kreider was able to return for the 2nd period with a VERY visible mark on his throat.
