The Philadelphia Flyers announced last week that they'd signed veteran NHLer, Antoine Roussel to a professional tryout. Given the Flyers injury struggles they were looking for as many bodies as possible. But today the Flyers decided Roussel's help wasn't needed. According to Adam Kimmelman of NHL.com the Flyers have decided to release him from his tryout.

Roussel has had a long career in the NHL, over 10 years with 607 NHL games played, and played in Arizona, Dallas and Vancouver over his career.

It looks like the bottom-six roles in Philadelphia have been filled and in a twisty of irony, John Tortorella and Brad Shaw aren't going for a veteran.
