Colorado Avalanche give up on Tomas Tatar trade him after less than 30 games
When the Colorado Avalanche signed Tomas Tatar this summer it seemed like the rich getting richer. It seemed like the Avalanche had added an additional scoring threat to their already incredibly deep lineup. Unfortunately it hasn't worked out that way for either Tatar or Colorado.
This past summer Tatar signed a one-year contract with one and a half million and after scoring 20 goals last season this seemed like a real discount. But after just 27 games, the Avalanche had made the decision to move on from the forward. Tonight it was announced they have traded him to the Seattle Kraken.
We have acquired a fifth-round pick in the 2024 NHL Draft from the Seattle Kraken in exchange for forward Tomas Tatar.
In 27 games with Colorado Tatar has just 1 goal and 7 assists. This brings to an end a very disappointing part of Tatar's career.
