There was a time when it took a while for rumours to spread on a large scale. That period is long gone. Unfortunately for Connor Bedard of the Chicago Blackhawks, he's been caught up in one of the worst of them in a while.
Bedard has finally decided to break his silence after being subjected to rumours regarding teammate Corey Perry and his own mother for days. The rumour hit meme status on the internet. If you visited a hockey-related profile or website, it was there. Bedard admits it's been tough, and he's just trying to move on.
"It's just a bunch of BS on the internet. It's of course been an affect on myself and my family, and that's not fair. But it's out of our control. It's all just fake, made-up stuff."
Apparently, reporters persisted in asking the question, leading to Bedard becoming understandably annoyed.
"I don't need to answer anymore questions about this stuff. It's all just a bunch of BS on the internet"
Hopefully, this is the last time he gets asked about it.
