Evander Kane's ex-wife released alleged messages from his former teammates wives
And we're back with the latest installment in the Evander Kane drama.
After details of Kane's personal life spilled out into the media for what seemed like ages, there has been silence for the last several months...until now. Kane's ex wife Anna, who at one point lost custody of their daughter to Evander, has produced letters she says were written by the wives of former teammates on the San Jose Sharks that include some eye-opening parts.
According to Anna, the letters were written by Tabea Thornton, wife of Joe Thornton, as well as one written by Christina Marleau, wife of Patrick Marleau. Both letters allege some very controlling behaviour on the part of Kane when it comes to his ex wife. Tabea's talks about strange behaviour and red flags.
The one purportedly from Christina Marleau talks about how the team asked her husband to speak with Kane in an attempt to calm him down, while mentioning that his child was being cared for by 20-year-old Ryan Merkley on more than one occasion.
Before leaving San Jose and landing in Edmonton, Kane dealt with lawsuits over gambling debts, a bitter and public custody battle, and several allegations of disturbing behaviour. Since then, very little has been said about his personal life.
