Free agent and former Boston Bruin Tyler Bertuzzi signs with Eastern Conference rival
After a monumental season with the Bruins, free agent Tyler Bertuzzi appears to have found his new home in Toronto for the next year.
Bertuzzi was traded to Boston from Detroit in March of this year. The 28-year-old winger only put up 4 goals and 12 assists during his time there, despite playing on the top line often with legendary players like David Pastrnak and Brad Marchand, but his playing style and overall demeanor stole the hearts of many Boston Bruins fans.
Bertuzzi is a fast and sort of gritty hockey player, so it'll be interesting to see how this upcoming year pans out for him. Bertuzzi will likely look to re-enter the free agent market next summer when the salary cap goes up.
