Health update on Darcy Kuemper finally gives good news
Darcy Kuemper had to leave Game 1 of the Edmonton Oilers series due to an upper-body injury.
Kuemper had to leave in the second period, which the Colorado Avalanche held out to win, fortunately. Up until today, Pavel Francouz had in net, to help push the Avalanche into the Stanley Cup Finals, in which Game 4 Keumper backed up Francouz.
As of today, it was announced that Darcy Kuemper had recovered from the injury that sidelined him.
Following a light practice, goalie Darcy Kuemper said he is «100%,» and Colorado coach Jared Bednar is hopeful forwards Nazem Kadri and Andrew Cogliano will return from thumb/finger surgeries and play at some point during the Stanley Cup Finals. Darcy Keumper in 8 playoff games in the 2021-2022 post-season has posted a 2.67 GAA and a .897 SV%
In the 2 games, Kuemper sat while dealing with another injury against the Predators Fancouz posted a .902 SV%, 2.97 GAA.
It looks like Colorado is in good hands, either way.
