There's only one thing stopping the Blackhawks from trading Patrick Kane and that's his no movement clause. Patrick Kane has full control and that makes things a little more complicated.
There are a number of things that Chicago could do but ultimately, the Blackhawks will have to sit down with Kane and talk about what it will take for him to waive it. Once that's done, the tricky part will be getting a team to play ball with the Blackhawks.
Hockey Insider Elliotte Friedman has come out saying that he wonders if the LA Kings could make a pitch to try and bring Kane to LA. The Kings have a ton of young talent and the idea of including Quinton Byfield could be more than any other team is willing or able to offer.
With many teams interested in Kane's services it will come down to where Kane wants to be more than the return. Hopefully for the Blackhawks sake Kane is willing to accept a deal to more than 2 locations similar to Claude Giroux was last year.
