Insider reports things in Arizona are worse than ever, players reportedly very unhappy
Stop if you've heard this before, players in Arizona are reportedly unhappy. This summer Mullett Arena was officially named the temporary home for the Arizona Coyotes for the next 3 years. The Coyotes will share the arena with the ASU Sun Devils. ASU will have first priority for any dates and the Yotes will fill in their schedule around them.
While fans shared all summer how bad this looked for the leagues it now appears that the players are starting to really feel the impact of being in the University stadium. According to Nick Kypreos things in Arizona are already reaching somewhat of a boiling point.
There are some real rumblings about the boys not being happy down there. Like really upsetting... Even worse (than they were expecting).
When the arena was announced it was also mentioned that it would require retrofitting to meet the minimum acceptable levels of an NHL arena. Now it seems those issues are already an issue for players who are used to the lavish locker rooms they've been part of around the league.
With Bill Armstrong being serious about the rebuild and stacking assets and bad contracts, Coyotes fans can at least expect to be disappointed for the next three years in more ways than one.
