Well it's that time of year, where if a restricted free agent and their team can't agree on a deal, arbitration begins. Moments ago, the Boston Bruins and a depth forward submitted their requests for a contract next season and possibly beyond

The Bruins and forward Trent Frederic have exchanged arbitration numbers arbitration per Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet, take a look.

Boston and Trent Frederic have exchanged arbitration numbers -- team: 2x$1.4M...player: one year at $2.9M.

The Bruins sitting at 1.4 for two years in right in line with his value, a 4th liner that brings a physical element to his game, but of course the player has to over value himself a little bit for the arbitrator to likely meet the team and player in the middle, thus his 2.9 ask for one year.

Frederic, 25, did have a very decent year offensively. In 79 games last season, he scored 17 goals and added 14 assists for a total of 31 points.

The hearing would take place on August 1st and a contract can be agreed upon before then
