Insider reveals a Western Conference coach is about to be fired
Elliotte Friedman is one of the most connected insiders in the game, so when he talks people listen. According to Friedman the Vancouver Canucks have every intention of firing Bruce Boudreau in the coming days. But given the current circumstances the team is trying not to distract from the upcoming Hall of Fame inductions.
This morning Friedman shared the following information:
Elliotte Friedman on possible coaching change : We all see where it is headed, it is a matter of when. Do not know when but we recognize it will be made. If you are not happy, make the change.
Friedman on possible names in rumour mill : You hear Rick Tocchet, and other names.
With Roberto Luongo and both Henrik and Daniel Sedin set to be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame it's clear the Canucks are trying to not steal the spotlight. But things between Boudreau and the franchise have fallen to pieces since the early "Bruce there it is" days.
According to Friedman, Boudreau is already on borrowed time and in Jim Rutherford's own words, the team is not in need of a rebuild, they require a brand new build altogether.
