With the Kris Knoblauch era beginning today in Edmonton, he was seen getting acquainted with players before practice begun this morning. The moves the Oilers have made in such a story time must've been jarring to the players even if they knew they were around the corner as things started to go down hill.
Now, according to TSN's Ryan Rishaug, Connor McDavid looked to be out of sorts during practice today, which for the best player in the world is never a good sign; take a look.
The exact words Rishaug used were that McDavid looked shell shocked' which can never be a good sign. It takes time to get used to a new coach, but Knoblauch and McDavid have a well documented history so this is somewhat surprising.
One thing is for sure and has become increasingly more clear, as McDavid goes, so do the Oilers. With his point production not being where it has been, the Oilers are left with not a whole lot going for them.
Kris Knoblauch has his work cut out for him already and he hasn't even coached a game.
