Vancouver Canucks leading scorer from last season J.T. Miller didn't hide his feelings when asked about fans tossing their jerseys on the ice in displeasure at the home opener on Saturday.

Miller told reporters:

"I didn't have one after the game, and I still don't have one. If they want to throw their s--- on the ice, that's up to them."

«I guess I've got a job to do. I'm not worried about if people want to come to the game, pay all that money and throw their jersey on the ice, go ahead. I've got a job to do, I'm worried about beating the Hurricanes today and having a good start to the game and really us trying to come together as a team, not whether people want to toss their gear on the ice or not."

The Canucks are the only winless team in the NHL, falling to 0-4-2 after their 5-1 loss to the Buffalo Sabres in the home opener.

In addition to tossing jerseys, fans booed the Canucks off the ice.

Miller had a career year last year with 32 goals and 67 assists for 99 points in 80 games. His production has fallen back to career norms so far this season with 2 goals and 3 points in 6 games.

The 29 year old, signed a seven year, $56 million dollar contract before the start of the season. Vancouver hosts the Carolina Hurricanes tonight with puck drop at 10:30 PM ET
