Last night, the New York Rangers' captain Jacob Trouba landed another huge hit, this time against Carolina Hurricanes' star forward Andrei Svechnikov.
Trouba's become a fair bit notorious for his body checks, some of which have been dirty. His hit last night may seem dirty, but it is clean hip-on-hip contact.
Watching the replay, you can see Svechnikov tries to jump out of the way of the check, and ends up spinning to the ice awkwardly, then basically folding himself in half.
The Rangers went on to beat the red-hot Canes by a score of 5-3. Trouba recorded a goal and an assist, playing a key role in the game. The Rangers dominated in the third to score three goals to seal the victory.
