The Winnipeg Jets have re-acquired right winger Mason Appleton from the Seattle Kraken, in exchange of a 4th round pick in the 2023 NHL draft.

Appleton, 26, has 6 goals and 11 assists in 49 games with the Kraken this season.

Appleton was a 6th round pick in 2015, by the Winnipeg Jets where he played 3 seasons before he was selected by the Seattle Kraken during the Expansion Draft. The Winnipeg Jets are expected to be busy today with Jets GM Kevin Cheveldayoff shopping both, Andrew Copp and Paul Stastny who possibly will have new homes by the 3pm deadline.

The Jets are currently 6th in the Central division so Cheveldayoff is going to have to decide if he's thinks the Jets still could make the playoffs and makes moves to improve those odds, or sell off and re-tool for next season. Either way the Jets are usually a active team on deadline day expect today to be no different.
