Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane finally update the team on if they want to be traded
The Chicago Blackhawks officially entered a full rebuild last season when they traded away Brandon Hagel and Marc-Andre Fleury for assets. The teardown continued this summer with Kirby Dach and Alex DeBrincat finding new homes as well. Now the attention has flipped to Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane.
Both Kane and Toews have no movement clauses that make the deals more difficult to make. While many suspected that the two players would immediately ask to be traded according to General Manager Kyle Davidson that's not the case at all.
Actually according to Chicago Blackhawks Insider, Ben Pope neither player has even expressed an interest in being traded and both players can't wait to get to training camp.
Excited to get to training camp and see how this season plays out.
According to multiple sources both Kane and Toews are excited to see the direction of the team this year and to see how things play out. Both players are expected to re-evaluate their positions closer to the trade deadline though.
