Almost halfway through the season, the Chicago Blackhawks are where everyone expected them to be - contending for the first overall pick this year. With only 9 wins in 38 games so far this year, the Hawks will look to unload anyone they can for future assets at the deadline.

That will include their captain, and longtime Blackhawk Jonathan Toews. In the twilight of his career, the Hawks have made it clear that they would accommodate a trade if he wishes, and it seems like Toews would accept. Now, NHL Insider David Pagnotta has revealed which team will make the biggest push to acquire Toews.

The Boston Bruins, leading the NHL with an absurd 30 wins in 30 games, are believed to be heavily interested in Toews. He fits the characteristics of a typical Boston Bruin - hard working, defensively oriented, and a proven winner.

Toews has had a bit of an offensive resurgence as well. After a poor showing last year coming off a chronic injury, Toews has rebounded decently with 21 points in 37 games. With his contract and limited production at this point in his career, Toews could likely be acquired for relatively cheap. That will only appeal more to the Bruins, who don't have the future assets to acquire more of an impact player.

Other teams potentially interested in Toews would be the Winnipeg Jets, New York Rangers, and Colorado Avalanche. All teams look like potential contenders now, and with Toews owning a No-Move-Clause on his contract, he'll be able to pick his destination. The Bruins would be an amazing opportunity to win another Cup, but Toews could be tempted by another location, particularly his hometown Jets.
