Latest Stanley Cup odds show lots of movement as teams rise and fall
The NHL season wraps up its regular season in less than two weeks, then begins the 2 month grind of the Stanley Cup playoffs. Today the NHL released the most up-to-date Stanley Cup odds via their twitter profile:
The team with the best odds is the Boston Bruins with a +380. If any other team was at the top of the list you'd have to question the integrity of it. Boston is having a historic season with a record of 60-12-5. They lead the NHL with a wide margin (125 points) the second place Carolina Hurricanes have 107 points.
The defending Stanley Cup champion Colorado Avalanche have the second best odds at +650 falling slightly from +600 on March 1st. Their season has been decimated because of injuries but they will surely make some noise when the playoffs begin.
Some other standouts from the list. The Carolina Hurricanes have the third best odds at +850. The Canadian teams are next with Toronto having +900 and Edmonton at +1000. The Tampa Bay Lightning are a +1400 to capture their third Stanley Cup in four seasons.
