Last night, the Los Angeles Kings and the Arizona Coyotes faced off in Melbourne, Australia. As such, of course the start time was at 12:00 am Eastern Time. Most people were probably sleeping. If that was indeed the case for you, Logan Cooley put on a show.
Midway through the second period, the Coyotes 3rd overall selection in the 2022 Entry draft scored what is most likely already the goal of the year. Take a look.
Cooley has been a human highlight reel at every level he's played at and it looks like that trend will continue at the National Hockey League level as he turns a defender inside out with a Spin-O-Rama, cuts to the inside and beats the Los Angeles Kings goaltender as he's falling.
It may just be the start of training camp, but one thing going to Australia does is bring out an almost NHL ready roster and this goal is ridiculous.
