Last night, the Vancouver Canucks took on the New Jersey Devils at home in what turned out to be a pretty volatile affair.
During the second period, Canucks defensemen Luke Schenn laid a couple of questionable hits on a couple of the Devils players and when New Jersey forward Miles wood attempted to respond to Schenn, things did not go as planned.
Luke Schenn (aggressor) and Dakota Joshua (3rd man in) were both ejected in the 2nd period vs #NJDevils . Miles Wood got a 2-5-10 instigator. While Wood did attempt to rightfully stand up for his teammates, Schenn ended up delivering what I would consider the beating of the season to this point.
Although it is a little questionable given that Schenn did land more than a few shots while wood was on the ground. So much so that a Devils player attempted to pry him away from Wood.
When all was said and done Schenn and another Canuck were both assessed a game misconduct while Wood was given a 2, 5 and a 10 minute misconduct for instigating.
