Marcus Foligno calls a member of the Seattle Kraken a 'f***ing diver'
Marcus Foligno has always been that hard nosed forward who isn't afraid to speak his mind. Foligno tries to always play the game the right way and that's an expectation he has for himself, his teammates and every player on the ice. Unfortunately on Friday night, Yanni Gourde didn't live up to Foligno's standard.
As Foligno battles for the puck behind the net, Gourde comes to assist his teammate. As he arrives, Foligno's teammate, Joel Eriksson Ek gives him a shove from behind. The shove immediately sends Gourde into the boards.
While the referee on the ice felt this was a penalty, Foligno disagreed and he let it be known. After the call Foligno could be seen shouting at Gourde:
Despite Foligno's objections, Ek received 2 minutes for interference on the play. Luckily for the Wild the penalty didn't end up costing the team and the Wild went onto win the game 1-0.
