NHL Insider shares a possible reason for Corey Perry's absence, franchise denies reports
The Corey Perry situation in Chicago has left many fans confused. Perry was reportedly asked to the team to stay away from the franchise. While Perry and his agent released a statement claiming that the forward was staying away from the team for personal reasons.
Now according to Incarcerated Bob, a noted NHL Insider, it appears that there is more to the story. Bob states that according to a text he received from a former player, it appears that on the recent Mom's Trip, Perry engaged in some extracurricular activity with a teammates mother.
This Corey Perry suspension news is crazy.. Mom trips will never be looked at the same for NHL teams 🤦🏽
It's true.. Former NHL player just hit my DM's and said he had some extra activities with one of the Moms on the trip.
While this story can't be confirmed, it has run rampant amongst fans over the last couple days.
The Blackhawks and Perry have not provided an update on the matter at this time.
What is true though, is the fan reaction has been amazing.
Additional reports from Blackhawks writers are denying the rumor, however no information from the franchise will continue to lead to speculation.
