There was a scary moment tonight between the Colorado Avalanche and San Jose Sharks, when Avalanche forward, Nazem Kadri, slammed his helmet off the ice.
The incident occured during the 3rd period of tonight's game in Colorado when Kadri was going to retreive the puck in the Sharks end. That's when Sharks' forward, Tomas Hertl cross checked Kadri directly into the back of Timo Meier.
Kadri got up on his own and skated to Avalanche bench, but he was visibly upset and in some discomfort. With the playoffs around the corner the Avalanche don't want to have any injuries, Kadri is having a career year with the Avalanche scoring 26 goals and 57 assists in 65 games this season.
It's easy to understand why Kadri was upset, especially knowing that if he'd committed a similar act he'd have been punished harshly for it.
