Nick Ritchie facing supplemental discipline after slashing Shattenkirk in the face
Things got extremely heated between the Arizona Coyotes and Anaheim Ducks last night. While much of the focus is on Jay Beagle for beating up Troy Terry, it seems George Parros and NHL Player Safety has zeroed in on another infraction.
With approximately 10 minutes left in the game Nick Ritchie engaged with Kevin Shattenkirk against the boards. After a short cross-check it appears Ritchie lifts his stick and intentionally slashes Shattenkirk in the face.
A Twitter User was also able to isolate the incident.
Today the NHL announced that Ritchie will be attending a hearing for this slash.
So what do you think?
