The Florida Panthers were a viewed as a powerhouse all season long. They entered the playoffs having had the best season in franchise history. Many believed that the Florida Panthers might finally break through and could possibly even win their first Stanley Cup in franchise history.
As the playoffs began that powerhouse was nowhere to be found. The Panthers struggled through the 1st round, relying on injuries and comebacks to beat the Washington Capitals. Then came a long awaited rematch with their State rivals, the Lightning. Many expected a competitive series, but it has been anything but competitive. After a 5-1 loss the Panthers sit one game away from being swept.
The Panthers have been out scored 11-3 so far in the series. After yesterday's loss, Panthers' head coach, Andrew Brunette would let his team have it criticizing his teams play after the game.
They have more will and more desire than we do and it shows probably if you watch the game, shift after shift now,
While teams have comeback from 0-3 holes in the past, the Panthers have shown nothing that would allow anyone to believe they have what it takes to mount a comeback at this point.
