Patrick Kane training in Toronto, rumors swirl as insider provides major update about his return date
When the New York Rangers season came to an end, Patrick Kane made the decision to immediately undergo surgery. Kane has been struggling with an injured hip for nearly two full seasons, and had put off the procedure for as long as possible. The surgery was considered a resounding success and Kane immediately began the rehab process.
According to Darren Dreger, Kane has been spotted in Toronto doing his rehab. This aligns very closely with the timeline that most Maple Leafs have reportedly been in the city and has many feeling that Kane could have interest in joining his good friend Auston Matthews in Toronto. However, Dreger instead connects Kane to the Leafs rival the Buffalo Sabres.
Patrick Kane continues to rehab from his hip surgery. He's been doing so in the Toronto area since July and requires at least another month. We know Buffalo has interest. He could help a lot of teams when healthy
The most important aspect of these comments are that it appears Kane is way ahead of schedule. Many expected Kane to be out until the new year, but now it appears Kane could return shortly after the season begins.
If Kane is healthy he could be a real contributor to a playoff bound team. Only time will tell where he ends up, but it appears we could know sooner rather than later.
