This is was a straight up mugging. There's really no other way to describe it. An incident in the greater Ontario Hockey League has led to a suspension for one player. He's lucky he didn't end up with a lifelong ban after he straight up attacked his opponent.

The incident took place in a game between the Fort Erie Meteors and Port Colborne Sailors. The player in blue knocks an opponent to the ice, rips of his helmet, and starts throwing punch after punch to the head before he's finally stopped. The victim had no idea what was coming, and no change to protect himself.

The player in question is Aydan Doyle of the Sailors. He has been suspended for four games for his actions. Considering how this went down, Doyle is very lucky he's not missing much more time. Fights are great. Attacking an unsuspecting opponent is not. Kyle Adamo is the player on the ice. He is believed to be ok. This is not Doyle's first time getting suspended.
