Rangers unhappy after Tyler Motte injured by a big hit
The New York Rangers and Pittsburgh Penguins continue to jockey for position as the season begins to wind down. With the two teams sitting 2nd and 3rd in the Metropolitan respectively, they met tonight in a game that could create significant point separation between the teams.
The Rangers ended up winning the game 3-0, but it seems like they may have also suffered a loss during the game as well. During the 3rd period Anthony Angello caught Tyler Motte with a big hit that sent Motte to the ice.
On the play Angello was given a 2-minute penalty for interference. The Rangers were extremely upset by this hit and K'Andre Miller especially tried to hold Angello accountable for the hit.
Motte left the ice on his own power, but he left the game and did not return.
