The Toronto Maple Leafs are reportedly considering a coaching change and moving on from Sheldon Keefe.

The Toronto Maple Leafs haven't lived up to expectations so far this year, that much is clear. One of main reasons seems to be head coach Sheldon Keefe who was just given a brand new contract in the off-season by new general manager Brad Treliving.

Since then, due to lack of performance and questionable lineup decisions, fans and media alike have wondered if Keefe is on borrowed time behind the bench. Now it's looking like a coaching change may be coming soon as per Hockey 24/7 on X

BREAKING NEWS: Leafs ownership, president, and GM are having a meeting this morning/early afternoon. Looks like a coaching change is coming. Stay tuned.

Take this with a grain on salt, Hockey 24/7 is not always too accurate. With that being said, it would make sense that Keefe's job is on the line here, given the Leafs performance as of late.

With pressure from fans, media and most likely inside the organization for change, it'll be interesting to see if and when the Leafs fire Sheldon Keefe, but they do have another former head coach on the bench in Guy Boucher so if they were going to, they wouldn't have to look far for Keefe's replacement.
