Since the end of the Taylor Hall experiment, Buffalo has yet again fully restarted the rebuild process. One of the core pieces they traded, Sam Reinhart, yielded goaltender prospect Devon Levi from the Florida Panthers. The young goaltender could be the future in Sabres' crease, but it's been reported there's been difficulty signing Levi.
Buffalo Sabres reporter Heather Engel revealed today that while Devon Levi feels ready to play in the NHL, he will return to school at Northeastern University next year. It was added that the Sabres management supports the decision.
Levi has been unreal for Northeastern University this season, posting a .952 save percentage in 32 games this season. If he's ready to turn pro as he indicated, he'll battle with Ukko-Pekka Luukonen to be the future starting goaltender of the Buffalo Sabres.
