If you're a Detroit Red Wings fan there hasn't been much to cheer about in recent years. However, Steve Yzerman is looking to rebuild the Red Wings into a perennial contender, something he did with the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Even though they have a long way to go, some of the current Red Wings' stars clearly aren't enjoying the journey. This includes the current captain, Dylan Larkin who is starting to lose patience and is showing his frustrations after another losing season.

After the Red Wing's lost to the Ottawa Senators Larkin spoke with the media and had this to say:

I have to admit that it has been difficult to deal with losing seasons. I look around and I don't see a lot of joy, I don't see a lot of guys having fun.

We need to change that and enjoy playing hockey again. The guys are frustrated. It's another losing season that just hasn't gone the way any of us want it to go since even before the trade deadline it's not fun here.

If Larkin and the Red Wings are hoping to turn things around next season they will need to make some additional changes. This month will mark the 3 year anniversary of the hiring of former Red Wings' superstar Steve Yzerman, as General Manager.

With the Red Wings still being quite away from being a contender, you have to wonder, would Yzerman consider trading the frustrated Larkin?

Dylan Larkin, 25, was drafted by the Red Wings 15th overall in 2014. Larkin has played in 497 games with Redwings scoring 145 goals, 208 assists.
