Teddy Bear toss fail, fans lose their patience during game and force referees to end game early
The Teddy Bear Toss originated with the Kamloops Blazers in the WHL in 1993 and the bears tossed end up being donated to local hospitals this year the Hershey Bears added a monied component to the toss as well.
The Hershey Bears crowd didn't exactly follow the tradition of the toss however for this reason.
It was a shutout by the Bridgeport Islanders as they had ruined the fun for the night 2-0. So the Hershey Bears crowd wasn't having any of it, and decided to throw all the bears on ice with 5 seconds left!
You gotta feel bad for the fans, as that was a brutal loss to experience, and then not even being able to complete the toss in regulation. Honestly, you can't blame them, the Washington Capitals farm team is definitely as lackluster as they are this season. At least the children receiving these will feel better than the Hershey Bears did that night.
