Toronto Maple Leafs to sell as part of 8 billion dollar sale
With the sale of the Ottawa Senators all but complete for nearly a billion dollars, the NHL has since seen some additional ownership changes. Now one of the NHL's most valuable franchises are also about to see a possible change in ownership.
According to Sportico the Maple Leafs Sports and Entertainment ownership is about to change. Larry Tannenbaum who currently owns 25% of the team's is looking to sell part of his share to OMERS.
It is unclear how much of his share that Tannenbaum is looking to sell. There are still hurdles in this potential situations, as Bell and Rogers who own the primary shares of the team could veto this deal.
The NHL and NBA must also approve this potential deal.
