One player who excelled under St. Louis was Cole Caufield. After a terrible start that ended up with him being sent to the AHL, Caufield took off under his new coach. This year Caufield is looking to use what he learned and elevate even further. Last night Caufield scored a goal from the same spot as one of the NHL's most Elite Snipers, Alex Ovechkin. This is part of the game that Caufield and St. Louis have been working on together since the new coach's arrival.

Goal looks familiar?
This is the greatest goal-scorer who ever lived. The English-speaking portion of Canada that once dumped on Mario to protect Gretzky is about to go into overdrive burying the Russian. But this isn't even a debate. No one has ever matched Alexander Ovechkin in this specific skill. https://t.co/SKEd75mBgn Dejan Kovacevic (@Dejan_Kovacevic) December 16, 2021
Could Cole Caufield become the elite goal scorer that the Montreal Canadiens have been missing for all this time? Only time will tell.
