Transformed Cole Caufield scores an absolute rocket of a one-timer as he continues to evolve under Marty St. Louis
Last night was the beginning of the NHL preseason for the Montreal Canadiens and New Jersey Devils. The Canadiens iced a line up featuring many prospects and established players alike. The Habs are looking to bounce back from a 32nd place finish last season and were hoping to build off their strong second half under Martin St. Louis.
One player who excelled under St. Louis was Cole Caufield. After a terrible start that ended up with him being sent to the AHL, Caufield took off under his new coach. This year Caufield is looking to use what he learned and elevate even further. Last night Caufield scored a goal from the same spot as one of the NHL's most Elite Snipers, Alex Ovechkin. This is part of the game that Caufield and St. Louis have been working on together since the new coach's arrival.
